Comprehensive Power System and Technical Advisory Services
01
Technology Assessment
Independent assessment of generation and energy storage technologies to evaluate technical suitability, maturity, and performance within specific network conditions. We support informed technology selection and risk mitigation for complex energy projects.
02
Feasibility, Constraints & System Strength
Early-stage feasibility and constraint assessments to identify network limitations, system strength requirements, and connection risks. Our studies support project development decisions and engagement with network service providers.
03
Network Planning Studies
Transmission and distribution network studies supporting long-term network planning, fault level and protection assessments, reactive power requirements, and the development of robust voltage control strategies across a wide range of operating and future network scenarios.
04
Power Quality Assessment
Comprehensive power quality studies to assess and manage the impacts of inverter-based and conventional plant on network performance. Our assessments include harmonic analysis, frequency-dependent modelling, and resonance identification, with clear recommendations for mitigation measures to support compliance with network standards and connection requirements. We support both greenfield and operating assets, helping clients manage power quality risk across the project lifecycle.
05
Generator & Load Connection Studies
End-to-end grid connection studies for generators and large loads across the NEM, SWIS, NWIS, and NWPS. We support clients through the full connection process, including National Electricity Rules (NER) compliance, Western Power Technical Rules, and system operator engagement. Our work focuses on achieving technically robust, efficient, and timely connection outcomes, from initial assessment through to registration and commissioning.
06
Commissioning & Testing
Practical commissioning and testing support to ensure generating systems perform as intended and meet regulatory and network requirements. We develop commissioning and test plans, support on-site testing activities, validate plant models against measured performance, and work closely with OEMs, NSPs, and system operators to resolve issues identified during commissioning and hold point testing. Our involvement reduces delivery risk during critical project stages.
07
EMT Transient Studies
Advanced electromagnetic transient (EMT) studies to assess complex system interactions, fast control dynamics, and network response under disturbance conditions. Our capability includes switching transient analysis, fault ride-through performance, black start and system restoration simulations, and insulation coordination studies. These studies are particularly critical for inverter-based resources operating in weak or highly dynamic network environments.
08
Owner’s Engineering & Technical Advisory
Independent owner’s engineering and technical advisory services supporting project development and delivery across renewable, storage, hybrid, and data centre projects. We act as a trusted technical representative for owners, providing interface management between OEMs, developers, NSPs, and system operators, reviewing technical documentation, and supporting negotiations on technical requirements to protect project outcomes and long-term asset performance.
